Friends and family are always good about letting me know about a fabulous place to eat pie or a not-to-miss recipe. Here is a recipe shared by the pie-makers’ grandma, Jo-Jo, (aka sister-in-law Carolyn) who took the photos.
People: You’ve got to “love” a creative six-year old who can make a pie from ingredients and utensils at hand. This cutie is my great-nephew, Jack, who lives in Oregon.
Places: Tennis Ball Pies are best made outside, preferably near a tennis court where the ingredients are easy to find.
Pies: Tennis Ball Pie. The recipe is straightforward.
Step 1. Make sure you have all of the ingredients to make the pie and a 10 inch deep dish pie plate.
Step 2. Line the plate with a layer of 8 Tennis Balls. Check to make sure the layer is level.
Step 3. Add 3 more balls and Voila! A Tennis Ball Pie.
Happy Summer!
So inventive and sweet.
Is this more tart than a golf ball pie?
Charming, inventive, and good looking young man!
